Another year, another diet? Not this time! The 4 Week Nutrition Program from State College Strength & Conditioning isn’t a weight loss quick fix — it’s a lifestyle change kickoff! You’ve probably heard that abs are made in the kitchen, and we’d have to agree. Get ready to cook way to a leaner physique, courtesy of fitness-focused recipes, progress weigh-ins, and motivational accountability. Have you been hitting the gym or regularly attending fitness classes without seeing results? The solution may lie not in your workouts, but in your kitchen! Healthy, properly portioned meals are the key to successful weight loss. The 4 Week Nutrition Challenge at State College Strength & Conditioning can help you break through your weight loss plateau by helping you build a better nutrition foundation.



How Does The 4 Week Nutrition Challenge Work?

To join the program, simply fill out the form on the bottom of this page to schedule a quick phone call with one of our team members. They’ll sign you up for the one-hour orientation during which you’ll meet other participants and learn about the program in-depth. We’ll also cover our fitness and nutrition services available outside of the nutrition challenge, so that you can continue your progress after the program ends.

The challenge begins with an initial weigh-in and recipe set. Each week, all 50 participants will meet up for a weigh-in and new recipe set. During the challenge, you will track your daily meals and nutrition intake (calories, fat, carbs, and protein) in a journal or app of your choice. This data will be a vital piece of customizing your portion sizes to ensure you are burning more calories than you are taking in. Speaking of burning calories, you’ll get access to three fitness classes per week at our CrossFit gym!



Someone from our team will regularly check in with you to see how you’re doing — we encourage you to share your ups and downs! As an added motivator, each week we will choose a winner based on progress. By the end of the challenge, we hope that you will walk away with all of the nutrition knowledge you need to continue seeing results.



I got a call to do a national photo shoot and I only had a month to prepare! I called my local gym for help and was immediately put on their 28 Day KICK START program. In no time at all, they leaned me down so I was photo shoot ready and in the best shape of my life!


I was so frustrated with the weight I gained from having my baby I tried to qualify for the LAP Band procedure. I was told to gain 30 lbs. and come back! Instead I joined the BH KICK START program with my local gym and in just 28 days not only did I get back to my original pre-baby weight but 6 years later I am still in the best shape I’ve ever been in and now run local 5K and 10Ks!


The Balanced Habits’ programs provided me with a road map, as I call it, that made this journey clear and easy to follow. With these tools in place, they showed me how to properly fuel my body, while maintaining my energy and as a Police Officer, that is extremely important! In just 28 days, I leaned down to my Police Academy weight and felt amazing!


I went from watching people run local 5Ks to running them myself! In 28 days, I learned how to properly nourish my body, overcoming obstacles that had held me back, and literally became a new person. The best part was that during the holiday season, when I typically would have gained weight, I applied the principles I was taught and stayed on track with my goals. I wish I had known it would have been this easy 25 years ago!
